Executive Functioning Coaching
For Anyone Who's Stuck
Focus that Frees You Up
What is Executive Functioning?
Executive functioning (EF) is the set of cognitive skills that let you plan, prioritize, start tasks, follow through, and manage your time and attention. It's the mental infrastructure behind actually getting things done: sitting down to write that note before it piles up, keeping a job search moving instead of stalling out, or holding multiple competing priorities without losing track of any of them.
EF covers things like planning ahead, managing time realistically, staying organized, maintaining focus, processing and prioritizing information, adapting to shifting demands, catching your own errors, and managing frustration when things don't go as planned.
EF is often particularly challenging for people with ADHD, autism, anxiety disorders, depression, or a history of trauma, as well as during major life transitions like new parenthood, peri/menopause, or burnout recovery.
Why It Matters
These skills are the foundation for functioning well academically, professionally, and personally. When EF struggles interfere, you might fall behind on paperwork, stall out instead of moving up in your career, or feel like you are constantly playing catch up despite working hard.
EF also shapes your health, often more than people realize. Poor planning harms your sleep when late nights are spent scrambling to finish a task that could have been completed days earlier. EF challenges lead you to impulse eat instead of sitting down to a real meal, or never getting to the grocery store because the steps are too overwhelming. It means movement and exercise get pushed to "whenever there's time," which in practice means rarely.
You Can Improve!
EF is not fixed. It's a set of skills, and like any skill, it can be strengthened at any age. Many ambitious, high achieving people never explicitly learned these strategies. They got by on raw ability or external structure, like school deadlines or a boss checking in, that diminishes as life gets more complex.

-
We'll start with a free 15-minute call, no obligation, just a chance to talk through what's going on and what's bringing you here. You'll get a feel for how I work, ask any questions you have, and we'll both get a sense of whether this is the right fit before moving forward.
-
We'll start by talking through stuck points, tasks that fall through the cracks, systems that haven't worked, and your best hopes for the flow of your days. The intake also involves the broader picture of your life including your academic and professional history, the important relationships that shape how you function, and relevant health background.
From there, we'll design a plan around your unique cognitive profile. If available, I will integrate neuropsychological test data and craft interventions that work specifically for your brain and learning style.
-
Together, we'll get clear on what's really going on: the specific decision you're facing, the point where things keep stalling out, and what's getting in the way. From there, we'll shape goals that are grounded and genuinely yours, along with practical exercises designed to help you move forward.
-
With my support, you'll put new strategies into practice, building the confidence to try something different and step out of patterns that haven't been working for you.
-
We'll adjust as we go, keeping what's working, letting go of what isn't, and building toward habits and systems that keep getting stronger over time.
